Norah Jones is an American singer, songwriter and pianist, born to a Caucasian mother and an Indian father. Her father is the renowned Indian sitar player, Ravi Shankar. She has a mixed racial background and has often spoken about how her multi-ethnic heritage has influenced her music. While her skin tone may appear darker, she identifies as multiracial and does not solely identify as Black.
